Inside ETFs is evolving in 2020. How?

The ETF market is undergoing a transformation that demonstrates it's still the exciting and evolving part of the wealth management industry you've come to love learning about. Our CEO, John Swolfs, explains how Inside ETFs in Florida next year, January 26-29 2020, will be evolving alongside the industry. This is THE year to come back - here's why.

ETFs are evolving and so is Inside ETFs. How?

John Swolfs: The coolest thing about ETFs is the wrapper itself. While people have always focused on the low cost, transparency, the fact is it is the wrapper that is the technology and we are seeing that technology put to use in many ways: the newest being the newly approved non-transparent ETFs. This is the first step towards active managers embracing ETFs.

The conference itself is evolving as we build out new ways for attendees to consume content with our lunch & learns, exhibit hall stage and our expanded advisor accelerators. We understand that advisors need more than just ETF information when they attend events and we want to help them achieve those goals in Florida.

What are the three big themes being discussed?

John Swolfs: This year the 3 big topics that I see populating the agenda are the macro outlook, with so much uncertainty in the global economy where to invest is getting more and more difficult, we want to spend time focused on practice management as the role of the advisor is changing and we think we can bring the resources they need to the event.

And of course, education as a whole is a major theme as we tackle all the latest trends and happenings in the ETF universe with a closer focus on the ETF rule and the approval of nontransparent ETFs.

In what way are you delivering content this year?

John Swolfs: For 2020 we went back to the drawing board and started to rethink how we deliver content.

We started by introducing the exhibit hall stage that allows us to share content in a fast-paced format where attendees can pop in and out of the sessions to hear great ideas, we have launched our lunch and learn series that allows advisors to take a deep dive on topics of their choice with industry experts. Of course, we still have our big ideas day on Wednesday that shares some of the best ideas out there to help advisors understand the future before it arrives.

Why is this THE year you should come back?

John Swolfs: So much has happened in the past 12 months that it has been hard for both advisors and the industry to keep up.

Inside ETFs brings all the experts together under one roof for 3 days to ensure everyone leaves with their questions answered.

What can a newcomer to the event expect?

John Swolfs: I am not sure what to say here, it is kind of like drinking from a fire hose with so much content and people around it can be overwhelming at times.

I would say they should engage with the networking app to help make connections, spend time stopping by the booths to get their questions answered and most of all have fun with it.

I do know this, they will leave their infinitely more educated on ETFs then when they arrived, not to mention better prepared for whatever the markets or industry throw at them in 2020.

John Swolfs will be speaking and moderating at large at Inside ETFs in Florida next year. The event runs from January 26 - 29 2020 at the Diplomat Resort, Hollywood, Florida. Don't miss out on your chance to grab a ticket for the biggest ETFs conference in the world now.
