Hong Zhang co-heads Baker McKenzie FenXun’s M&A practice and heads its Private Equity practice in China. She has extensive experience in complex domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity and venture capital investments, licensing arrangements, joint ventures and strategic transactions, with a particular focus on the healthcare and life sciences sector. Hong advises both international pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device, pharmaceutical distribution and other healthcare companies, as well as private equity and institutional investors, on their inward investments and transactions in China and Chinese companies on their high-profile overseas M&A and outbound investments. Her broader practice encompasses complex investment and financing structures, corporate restructurings, pre-IPO equity financing and strategic cooperation arrangements. Having advised both multinational companies and investors on significant transactions across Greater China and Asia, Hong brings strong commercial insight to complex cross-border matters.
