Dr. Jan Engels holds a PhD in Chemistry and Nanotechnology from Hong Kong, where he lived and worked for ten years. During his doctoral studies, he co-founded a medical device start-up focused on ophthalmology and drug delivery, serving as VP Technology. Alongside his work in the start-up, Jan taught Entrepreneurship as a part-time lecturer. After returning to Germany, he joined High-Tech Gründerfonds as an Investment Manager specializing in Life Sciences & Medtech.
