Brad Bartels, PharmD is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Laboratory Director for the UIC College of Pharmacy. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa. He went on to receive his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy in 2009. After graduating from Pharmacy School, Dr. Bartels began working at the Anticoagulation Clinic at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. In 2013, he began working at UIC in the sterile and non-sterile compounding teaching labs. He instructs the students on the various pharmaceutical dosage forms, calculations, and compounding. In addition to his role as Assistant Professor and Lab Director, Brad is the faculty advisor for the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPho) and the Student Society of Veterinary Pharmacists (SSVP). He is also a member of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, and The Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honors Society and sits on several committees for the UIC College of Pharmacy.
