Amita Patkar is the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Feasibility at Infrastructure Ontario (IO). Amita has been with IO for over 14 years and currently leads the development and execution of real estate strategies for key government entities and portfolios. Amita is responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to right-size the government’s real estate portfolio: enhancing space capacity based on public sector needs both short-term and longer-term, and maximizing value through real estate development and asset optimization. Prior to joining IO, Amita worked in management consulting within the private sector, primarily in the field of engineering. She joined the public sector in 2009 to support the establishment of the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR). Amita holds an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK.
