Michael Norton is the Chief Development Officer at CreateTO where he is responsible for identifying and leading redevelopment opportunities for City owned real estate, and providing real estate solutions to City divisions, agencies and corporations.Previously, Michael was Chief Development Officer at Metrolinx, where he oversaw the Transit-Oriented Communities (TOC) Program at Metrolinx for the GO Heavy Rail and LRT portfolios, management of the Metrolinx-owned real estate portfolio and adjacent development reviews. Michael has been involved in large transit infrastructure and real estate projects, including East Side Access in New York, the Red Line in Tel Aviv, the vivaNext BRT in York Region and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT in Toronto. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in New York, NY.
