Profile
Monique Punt is a professional engineer with over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors specializing in technical, policy and legislative aspects of brownfields, contaminated sites, environmental emergencies, and climate change. Monique began her career performing research for the federal government developing and evaluating technologies for contaminated site remediation and oil spill response. As a consultant, she has provided technical, program management and policy support to a wide range of clients including the federal and provincial governments, not-for-profit organizations and private industry. She has developed a number of brownfield-related guidance documents for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and was the developer of their Provincial and Territorial Brownfield Legislation and Funding Roadmaps. She is an active member of the Canadian Brownfield Network and has participated in their Technical Advisory Committee since 2012.
