Renée Gomes is a Registered Professional Planner and Senior Vice President of Development at DiamondCorp. She has over 18 years of experience in the private and public sectors, leading the planning and implementation of residential, office, and industrial developments across the GTA, including strategies for advancing public policy objectives through commercially successful real estate projects.
She previously managed Waterfront Toronto’s development initiatives in the East Bayfront and West Don Lands communities, including Athletes’ Village for the Pan/Parapan American Games. She led the master planning and municipal approvals processes for East Harbour, Canada’s largest planned commercial development, and has prepared growth management and revitalization strategies for numerous communities in the Greater Toronto Area and in England.
She is a lecturer in the University of Toronto’s Graduate Program in Planning, a Board Director of Evergreen, and Chair of Mission Advancement for ULI Toronto. Renée holds a Master of Science in Planning Degree from the University of Toronto.
