Richard Munroe is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Atrium Mortgage Investment Corporation, as well as its manager, Canadian Mortgage Capital Corporation (CMCC).

Founded in 1994, the CMCC Group of Companies is a market leading provider of alternative debt and equity financing to the Canadian real estate market, with $2.5 billion in assets under management across a series of complementary investment platforms. Atrium is the most prominent of these platforms and one of the largest mortgage investment corporations in Canada, with a portfolio of approximately $900 million.

Richard was appointed COO in 2022 and President in 2024, and is involved in the wider organization’s strategic direction, growth initiatives and operations. In his 19 years of experience at CMCC serving in progressively more senior roles, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of real estate finance and development. This expertise makes him well suited to provide insight into current market conditions.
