Sarah Esler oversees AIMCo’s Mortgage Investments team, helping ensure the successful execution of the investment strategy, serving as Head of the Mortgage portfolio for two years. The ~C$6.2 billion portfolio includes domestic and global commercial real estate loans across multiple asset classes including direct, joint-venture and fund investments in both core and high-yield strategies. She has over 20 years of commercial real estate credit experience, eight with AIMCo, including stints with leading investment banking firms in Toronto.

Sarah serves as AIMCo’s representative at the Investor Leadership Network’s “Diversity in Investment” initiative and is a member of AIMCo’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
