The enthusiasm for the Ideas Project (www.ideasproject.com) was extremely evident from Kirsten Kuehl, Global Head of Community Innovation for Nokia, during her presentation at the FEI EMEA summit meeting this morning. Kirsten provided a visually interesting and varied walk through the creation of the Ideas Project, how and why it works, and some of the lessons that have come out of their journey.

Originally set up to assist with open innovation, usually resulting in mobile apps, the community is now also being encouraged to think of ideas using 3D printing or sound (audio). Combining a strong intrinsic desire to contribute, as well as some financial incentives, the Ideas Project community brings together consumers, developers and designers, to collaboratively build their ideas.
