
International Harbour Masters Association (IHMA)
The International Harbour Masters' Association is the professional body for those with responsibility for the safe, secure, efficient and environmentally sound conduct of marine operations in port waters. With members in more than 50 countries, the Association brings together Harbour Masters and all those who hold a managerial position in aspects of the control of marine operations within a port.
The partnership provides existing IHMA members with up to 15% discount on selected Lloyd's Maritime Academy distance learning courses while Lloyd's Maritime Academy students (non-members) will obtain a complimentary 12-months associate membership with IHMA when enrolling on selected courses.

International Association of Ports and Harbours
IAPH is a non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. In November 1955, some 100 world port leaders gathered in Los Angeles to announce the creation of IAPH. Over the past six decades, IAPH has developed into a global alliance of ports, representing today some 190 ports and 167 port-related businesses in 89 countries as of 6 December 2024.
Marine Society
Marine Society aims to be the first in learning and professional development for seafarers, helping them to learn new skills, gain accredited qualifications and realise their full potential.
The Marine Society recognises the particular value of Lloyd’s Maritime Academy’s programmes for seafarers. British and EU seafarers can receive a 15% discount on all Lloyd's Maritime Academy professional diplomas. These tutored distance learning courses are accredited by North Kent College and may provide recognition of prior learning for undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. Lloyd's Maritime Academy is the world’s largest provider for professional maritime development, working with leading academic and industry bodies to provide accredited education and training.

The Harbour Masters Association of the United Kingdom (UKHMA)
The Harbour Masters Association of the United Kingdom, The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man (UKHMA) was formed in May 1993 at an inaugural meeting held at the University of Wales in Cardiff.
The meeting, which was an extension to a series of technical briefings held by the University for the specific benefit of harbour masters, attracted 87 Founder Members from throughout the British Isles.
The organisation is a unique professional body consisting of harbour masters, port marine operations officers, harbour managers, commercial bodies that serve the port sector, and other appropriate personnel and organisations.
Geographically, the Association consists of eight regional constituencies that cover all mainland and island ports in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

We have teamed up with Lloyd’s Maritime Academy who offer a wide range of courses which help to enable continued training and professional development.
In order to reward attendance we offer a discount on our membership of 50% of the first year’s fees for new members. For anyone who is currently a member we offer a 20% reduction for the following annual membership fees for attendance of one of the courses
