VERTANICAL’s platform includes its lead asset VER-01, which is a first-in-class, non-addictive, breakthrough cannabinoid-based drug with the potential to improve the lives of millions of chronic pain patients and to end the opioid epidemic. In two completed pivotal Phase 3 studies, VER-01 demonstrated a significant pain reduction in patients with chronic low back pain – the most common form of chronic pain. At the same time, VER-01 interrupts the vicious cycle of chronic pain by improving sleep quality, physical function and overall quality of life. Importantly, VER-01 showed no risk for dependence or abuse.
