Dr. Flora Wegener is a pharmacist and toxicologist with a strong academic background and over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Her expertise spans toxicological risk assessment, extractables and leachables (E&L), biocompatibility, and nonclinical safety strategies. Currently she works as Lead Scientific Expert at Merz Aesthetics GmbH, playing a key role in cross-functional teams, supporting innovation, regulatory submissions, and safety evaluations across product lifecycles. She is passionate about bridging science and regulation bringing safe and effective products on the market.
