Dr. Frederic Courivaud currently leads the AI standardization work at DNV group research and development. He is the project leader / editor of the future European standard EN 18228 about AI risk management being developed in CEN/CENELEC/JTC21 and which aims to be harmonised to the AI Act.Prior to joining DNV, Frederic was a research scientist for 17 years within the development of new methods and clinical applications of MRI, minimal invasive surgery and surgical navigation tools at Philips Healthcare and the Norwegian national hospital. Frederic holds a PhD in physical chemistry, a Master in organic chemistry and a Master in healthcare leadership and administration.
