Profile

Dr. Klaus Schichl has a scientific background in Aerospace Engineering. After a few years in aircraft maintenance (German Airforce) he spent 11 years doing research in a laboratory for Biofluid Mechanics (Technical University Berlin) – specifically for testing artificial heart valves.

He has been working at Biotronik in the field of clinical investigation of medical devices for 30 years. After 20 years in clinical project management, he is mainly concerned with the analysis and implementation of national and European legislation in this field.

He is Member of various working groups on clinical investigation of medical devices: MedTech Europe, BVMed, BfArM consultation group.
