This programme connects the conceptual basis of Security Studies to practical issues facing the international system and emerging security threats, including terrorism, organized crime, radicalization, and intelligence failures, relevant to law enforcement, government agencies, and the private sector.Students are expected to develop their expertise in Security Studies, Intelligence analysis, and Criminology through reflection and analysis, gaining an understanding of how the concept of security has been rearticulated and challenged in contemporary contexts.The courses focus on current and emerging security problems, including the ramifications of the Cold War, terrorism, proliferation of dangerous weapons, organized crime, globalization, and financial crime, while also evaluating potential solutions to these issues.
