Profile
Fidel Grandia is Project Director at Amphos 21 Consulting and President of the European NORM Association since 2025. He has a PhD in Geology and has more than 25 years of experience in managing research projects on radioactive waste management from public research agencies and private clients. He is expert in environmental radioactivity and in the geochemical and radiochemical characterization of radioactive geological materials and NORM residues.
He has been involved in the decommissioning, management and valorisation of legacy sites of NORM-producing facilities, mainly from the phosphate, REEs and oil&gas industries. He has also led projects for the design of the final disposal of NORM, including the shallow geological repository.
