At the NORM Management Conference Vienna, we are committed to running events which are both environmentally sustainable and socially responsible.
From curating an agenda that advances safe and sustainable NORM management practices to minimizing our operational footprint, sustainability is embedded in everything we do.

Sustainability Initiatives 2026/2027
Sustainability at Informa focuses on the long-term impacts we create for customers, colleagues, communities, and the environment. Through Informa's FasterForward programme, we're integrating sustainability into every aspect of our operations while empowering our customers and markets to do the same.
Zero Waste
- Digital Event App - All attendees receive login credentials before the event to access ConnectMe app.
- Please bring your own writing utensils.
- Dispose of your waste (PET, glass, paper, metal, batteries, etc.) via the separate collection systems provided at the hotel and at the event venue.
- Your grounds pass can be returned at the exit at Gate 1 after the event.
Locally Sourced, Sustainable Catering
We're working with our venue partner to provide nutritious meal options that support our sustainability goals, including halal, vegetarian and vegan choices to reduce our environmental impact.

Sustainable Energy Practices
We're committed to minimizing our energy footprint by partnering with venues that prioritize sustainable operations and renewable energy sources wherever possible.

Sustainable Transportation & Stay
We encourage attendees to use Vienna's excellent public transportation network or walk to the venue. The Vienna International Center is easily accessible via U-Bahn and bus routes. If traveling by car or plane, please consider offsetting your CO2 emissions through verified carbon compensation programs.
Please consider choosing an eco-labelled hotel and make use of the environmentally friendly offers of your hotel (change of towels and bedlinen only when needed for example). Turn off all lights, electronic equipment (TV, air condition system, heating, computer etc.) when you leave the hotel room for some time.
