Dr. Qifan Wu is a Professor at the Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University. He works as a senior consultant in environmental radiation monitoring and assessment for the National Nuclear Safety Administration of China, and serves as Executive Director and Deputy Secretary of the NORM Sub-Society, China Society of Radiation Protection. His research focuses on naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM), radioactive waste management, and environmental radiation safety evaluation. He has led a series of national research and field projects across multiple provinces, focusing on radiological impact assessment of industrial NORM and uranium mining-milling activities, aiming to support standardized, safe, and sustainable NORM industrial management in China.
