The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) is a non-governmental organisation representing the geological profession across Europe. Founded in 1980, EFG brings together 28 national member associations representing more than 45,000 geoscientists. The Federation promotes excellence in the application of geosciences, raises awareness of their essential contribution to society, and supports the responsible use of Earth’s resources. Through its expertise and engagement with European and international stakeholders, EFG contributes to public safety, sustainable development, climate resilience, and informed decision-making on the sustainable management of natural resources.
