Dr. Kate Catlett is a geoscientist who specializes in solving environmental problems with quantifiable approaches to support transparent, risk-based decision making. Kate earned a master’s degree in mathematics and a PhD in soil chemistry from Colorado State University. Her primary focus is evaluating performance of radioactive waste disposal sites and associated clean up needs through probabilistic modeling, statistics, risk assessment, and risk management. Clients include the US Department of Energy and private waste disposal companies. Collaborative multi-disciplinary work is her favorite, requiring communication across disciplines and between various types of stakeholders.
