Kenneth Moats is a physical scientist in the Radiological and Nuclear Assessment Section at Health Canada’s Radiation Protection Bureau. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters degree and PhD in Particle Physics from Carleton University. He has 8 years of experience working in radiation protection, with a focus on the development of specialized and novel methods for radiological and nuclear detection and risk assessment. He is the technical and writing lead for the Canadian Guidelines for the Management of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM).
