Profile
I am a field-oriented geologist primarily focused on structural geology and tectonics but with a broad range of interests. I earned MS and BS degrees in geology from Brigham Young University and a PhD in geological sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. I am a curious learner and accomplished instructor, and I have presented my research in numerous conferences and published several journal articles. My professional work experience includes academia, energy (oil & gas), and mining. I currently work at the US Environmental Protection Agency on overseeing and regulating the geologic disposal of nuclear waste.
