Mr. Fitch is private consultant specializing in regulatory aspects of nuclear safety and safeguards and environmental protection. He consults the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, the Utah Department of Environmental Quality, and the New Mexico Environment Department. He began work in the uranium mining and milling industry over 50 years ago as a conventional mill operator. He has been a health physicist and nuclear engineer for industry and government for 40 years, and works extensively on uranium legacy waste management in addition to licensing the current resurgence of conventional mills and in-situ solution mining. He holds a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
