Profile

Paul Goranson has nearly 38 years of experience in the minerals extraction industry principally in the uranium recovery sector. For most of his career, he has been leading uranium production operations that use in situ recovery (ISR) processes, and he has managed conventional uranium mining and milling operations. He has been involved in every aspect of the uranium industry, ranging from exploration, field operations, project execution, production, reclamation, and closure. He has also served in senior executive roles in several public and private corporations. Prior to independent consulting, he was the CEO and Director for enCore Energy Corp. Prior to his time at enCore, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Energy Fuels, Inc. and President and Chief Operating Officer at Uranerz Energy Corp. He also was the President of Cameco Resources, the U.S. subsidiary of Cameco, Inc. Prior to that, he was Vice President at Mesteña Uranium Inc., Manager, Radiation Safety and Compliance at Rio Algom Mining LLC, a subsidiary of BHP, Inc., and he was Operations Superintendent at Uranium Resources, Inc.

He currently is a member of the Brush Country Groundwater Conservation District Board of Directors. He has served in leadership and Board positions in the Uranium Producers of America, National Mining Association, Texas Mining and Reclamation Association, Wyoming Mining Association, Texas Nuclear Association, and Nuclear Energy Institute.

He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas. He has a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and he has a Bachelor of Science in Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&I University.
