Our NORM decontamination suite addresses naturally occurring radioactive material in production equipment, piping, vessels, separators, and storage tanks. FQE NORM-Scale dissolves barium and strontium sulfate scale that conventional acid systems cannot break down, removing the mineral matrix that hosts radium co-precipitates. FQE NORM-Clear, a patented chemistry, targets activity that has migrated into the pore structure of the base metal, reaching contamination that mechanical and abrasive methods leave in place. FQE NORM-Precip then captures dissolved radionuclides from the spent solution and concentrates them into a substantially smaller waste volume, cutting disposal tonnage and transport burden.

Applied as a system, these products let operators return equipment to service or move it toward disposal on a shorter schedule, with less worker contact with contaminated surfaces and fewer airborne particulate controls than dry mechanical removal requires.
