Dr. Janine Sengstack is co-founder and CSO of Junevity, a biotech company resetting cardiometabolic disease with siRNA. Based on a decade of work that began with Sengstack's PhD at UCSF, Junevity’s RESET Platform unlocks novel targets with human disease data, machine learning and siRNA. JUN_01, our lead siRNA program targets residual inflammation in type 2 diabetes ($3B+/yr peak sales opportunity) and starts Phase 1 human trials in Q4 2026. JUN_02, our second siRNA program in obesity, shows GLP-1-like weight loss in preclinical studies with the potential for 1-2 doses per year. Junevity has a growing pipeline in metabolism and neurodegeneration. Sengstack holds a PhD in cell biology from UCSF and a BS summa cum laude from Cal Poly, SLO.
