Dr. Saleha Patel joined Constructive Bio in 2025 as Head of Pipeline and Commercialisation Strategy, leading their efforts in creating new to nature peptide and protein therapeutics utilising their proprietary platforms that combine fully recoded genomes, engineered translation and scalable biomanufacturing. Prior to this, Saleha spent over a decade in large pharma. At AstraZeneca she led indication discovery and expansion activities for CVRM and broader pipeline assets, leveraging AI and multi-omics approaches to generate novel disease hypotheses, while supporting horizon scanning and innovation activities within Emerging Innovations. Prior to AstraZeneca, she completed her PhD and postdoctoral studies in biochemistry and structural biology at the University of Leicester in partnership with UCB Pharma. She also serves as an Honorary Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and holds leadership roles at Springer Nature and The Sutton Trust.
