Catherine’s founding role in opening Ottawa Tourism’s destination development department has placed her among Canada’s trailblazers for destination development within Destination Marketing Organizations. She has a Master’s degree in Communications and Media Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, and accreditations through the Canadian Public Relations Society and Destinations International CDME program. She has served on the Ottawa Markets Board of Directors and on the Ottawa Film Office Board of Directors. Catherine has been a speaker on destination development topics at numerous provincial, national, and international tourism industry conferences. Her 25-year career spans roles within Canada’s national cultural institutions, and both British Columbia’s and Ontario's tourism industry.
