Mario Iacobacci is a Partner in the Economic Advisory practice at Deloitte Canada. He has led a career at the intersection of economics, public policy and business strategy. He has an international track record in the economics of infrastructure and the construction sector, including issues related to housing, labour markets and macroeconomic issues. He has led many business cases, feasibility analyses, cost escalation and supply chain analyses as well as economics expert witness work in these areas. Mario has over 25 years of experience at board and executive levels with clients in North America and Europe. He has advised public sector agencies, institutional investors and corporate clients on multiple infrastructure projects, public policy and business issues in North America and Europe. Mario was the Chair of the U.S. Transportation Research Board’s Standing Committee on Freight Transportation Economics and Regulation from 2017 to 2023. He holds a PhD in Economics from Cambridge University in the UK.
