Steve leads Ernst and Young’s Canadian appraisal team and real estate practice in Ottawa and the Eastern Ontario regions. Steve has over 17 years of real estate experience, specializing in complex valuation and feasibility engagements involving all types of real estate. He has been qualified as an expert in numerous real estate litigation cases and provided expert testimony on behalf of owners, tenants and acted as an advisor to the Superior Court of Ontario. Annually, Steve and team review, critique and assess more than $50 billion worth of real estate appraisals for EY clients across the country. Prior to joining EY, Steve was the founder of CBRE’s Ottawa Valuation and Advisory Services team where he focused on institutional office, retail and industrial valuations as well as development land, real estate litigation, expropriation and right-of-way assets. Mr. LeFaivre received his accreditation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2011.
