Dan Mulvaney is the Director, Industry Engagement in External Affairs for Philip Morris International U.S. (PMI U.S.). In this role, Dan is focused on building the infrastructure necessary to achieve PMI’s mission to improve public health by advocating, activating, and educating the industry on smoke-free alternatives that are better than continued smoking.
With over 26 years of government affairs experience, Dan has served in roles ranging from Capitol Hill to state government affairs. During this time, Dan spent five years as a staffer in D.C. and later served as Political Director for the National Association of Convenience Stores. Dan then took his experience to Swedish Match North America (SMNA), leading the State Government Affairs team for more than two decades. Following the acquisition of SMNA by Philip Morris International in 2022, Dan served as Director, Fiscal Policy, leading the state excise tax policy group.
Currently residing in Alexandria, Virginia, Dan is passionate about traveling the world to exotic places to fish.
