Chris Birney has 25 years of experience as an analyst covering financial institutions and fintech. He is currently in an equity research role with J.P. Morgan Asset Management covering emerging markets. In previous roles he did mergers and acquisitions advisory, credit ratings, and counterparty risk advisory. He was twice ranked #1 buy side bank analyst in Europe by Extel.

Chris has a BA in Economics and Political Science from McGill University in Canada and a CFA Charter. He has lived in Vancouver, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Prague, and London.
