Jeff Banks is co-founder and CEO of Blue Train Marketing (BTM). Since its launch in 2014, the multi-award-winning agency has stayed focused on its core purpose of accelerating success for innovators and established players across the payment ecosystem.
Under Jeff’s leadership, BTM has grown rapidly to serve clients spanning the US, Europe and APAC.
Jeff has developed a potent mix of skills among his in-house team. By combining the science of marketing such as paid advertising and SEO with the art of creative content production, BTM has established a reputation for impactful campaign execution and creativity.
The agency has earned a series of award nominations including winning Marketing Campaign of the Year and Best Professional Service Organisation Supporting Emerging Payments at the Emerging Payments Awards. In 2019, BTM was selected as a partner for Money20/20 Round the World Race, co-ordinating a global marketing campaign with partners including Starling Bank, Banking Circle, Meniga and Global Processing Services (GPS).
BTM is the marketing partner for leading industry bodies including the Payments Association, Vendorcom, Open Banking Excellence and PIF.
Previously, Jeff held the role of International Marketing Director for First Data (Fiserv) and was responsible for marketing and communications for 12 merger and acquisition projects globally. These included setting up a JV with ICICI Bank in India, acquiring the CashCard network in Australia and numerous acquisitions across Europe. Jeff also devised and managed the marketing plan to roll-out the ground-breaking Clover POS system into the European market.
Jeff’s professional qualifications include the highest Post Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), a Post Graduate Diploma in Communication Management from Kingston University and Diploma with Merit in Periodical Journalism from the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).
