Application portal opening soon for 2025/2026 intake.
How will I study?
The units take the form of a bound document that also includes further reading suggestions; copies of relevant regulations; practical examples; questions and model answers.
You will be taught mostly online through King’s E-learning and Teaching Service (KEATS) which provides information, interactive questions, assignments, use of bibliographic databases and reading material. Students participate in online tutorials and discussion groups, interacting with expert tutors and their fellow students.
You are eligible to attend 2 weekend seminars in London.
How will I receive the materials?
Important Update: Transition to Digital Course Materials
In our ongoing efforts to embrace sustainability and reduce environmental impact, we are transitioning from hard copy delivery of course units to digital formats.
Effective soon, hard copies will no longer be available. Instead, you can access the same units as online PDFs, which are fully printable for your convenience.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us move towards a greener future.
How long will I spend studying each unit?
- The length of time needed to study a unit will vary with your experience and the complexity of the unit being studied.
- It is anticipated that each unit will require a student to spend approximately twenty hours studying, depending on the student’s experience, plus further study time for questions and reading and completion of the assignments.
- Students who enter this programme need to be aware of the commitment required to study this challenging and rewarding programme.
Are there any tutorial seminars?
- There will be two intensive weekend seminars. Normally held in November 2024 and March 2025 (exact dates will be confirmed as soon as possible after enrolment)
- The weekend seminars will be held in Central London.
- Authors will lecture and revise study material during two full days of teaching.
- Seminars are recorded to view for those students who cannot attend the seminars.
- It is strongly recommended that students benefit from these intensive revision sessions. (The format of the seminars will depend on social distancing measures at the time).
- The seminars are not compulsory but are very beneficial and provide an excellent opportunity to meet fellow students, the programme director and programme authors.
How will I be assessed?
Your performance will be assessed through a combination of coursework and examinations. Forms of assessment typically include essays and examinations.
Students who have achieved the Economics for Competition Law Postgraduate Diploma at merit level or above may apply direct to King's for a second year where a 60 credit dissertation is written under supervision to gain an MA.
