Eugenia Brandimarte is as case handler at the European Commission (DG COMP) where she works on the implementation and enforcement of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Prior to joining the DMA team, she was Assistant Director of Economics at the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) where she worked on multiple landmark projects related to digital markets and digital regulation. These include the Mobile Ecosystems Market Study, the Browsers and Cloud Gaming Market Investigation, the Mobile Platform SMS investigations into Apple and Google and the CMA Digital Markets Taskforce, whose advice formed the basis of the current UK digital regulation (i.e. the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act – DMCCA). She also led the economic input on the DMCCA’s implementation and the drafting of the accompanying guidance. Eugenia holds an MA in European Law and Economic Analysis from the College of Europe and an MSc in economics from LUISS University.
