Nicole is head of the state aid team at Oxera, an economics consulting firm based in Brussels, Berlin, Oxford and London. Nicole has in depth-expertise advising clients on a broad range of economic and financial issues in state aid cases. This includes assessments of the market economy operator principle (MEOP), the application of state aid rules for services of general economic interest (SGEI), state aid compliance, as well as assessments of the compatibility of aid measures. Nicole also provides expert advice to clients on a range of economic and financial issues associated with state aid cases in front of the Courts. Nicole has regular speaking engagements on state aid matters and has published extensively on state aid issues in the leading competition journals.
