Chris serves as the Group Treasurer at Pennon Group plc, bringing over 20 years of expertise in the sector. He leads a central treasury team responsible for securing the funding necessary to navigate regulatory cycles and support the Group’s strategic objectives. Under his stewardship, Pennon Group has continued to develop its diversified debt portfolio, valued at £4.0 billion, it comprises of a range of financial instruments designed to optimise financial stability.

Chris has been instrumental in advancing the Group's financial strategy, leading its entry into the syndicated private placement market with a landmark transaction in 2023, followed by a successful second placement in 2024 as the Group’s capital programme significantly increases for the next regulatory period.

A champion of sustainable finance, Chris played a pivotal role in the development of the Sustainable Financing Framework, establishing the Group’s first framework in May 2018. This initiative, lead by the Treasury team, has not only transformed the department but also positioned Pennon as a leader in sustainable finance. As of the 2025 year-end, the Group has secured around £2.5bn in sustainable finance products.
