Profile

Scott Debano serves as Managing Director, Head of Distribution, for AIP Capital based in Stamford, CT. He brings nearly twenty-five years of experience in structured finance and is a highly effective senior leader in global aviation structured finance. He is acknowledged as a subject matter expert at the forefront of many of the structural innovations in aviation finance over the past 15 years. At AIP Capital, Mr. Debano is responsible for overseeing bank and investor relationships across AIP and affiliates, aviation financing transactions, and leading fundraising activities and developing strategic partnerships across AIP and affiliates of AIP, investment vehicles, and private credit strategies.

Prior to joining AIP Capital, Mr. Debano worked at Citigroup as the Head of Transportation Finance within Markets ABS&F, where he managed a team of nine professionals and was responsible for all non-recourse origination initiatives across both lending and capital markets. Before this role, Mr. Debano was part of the Global Structure Transportation Finance team as Managing Director where he was responsible for product development, origination and execution, and advisory mandates across the industrial transportation sector, focusing predominantly on aviation. Mr. Debano previously spent time at Merrill Lynch in both New York and Houston, focused on structured Commodities Corporate Finance and Commodity Derivatives Marketing, where he successfully implemented and lead the commodities derivative origination effort within ML Commodities.

Mr. Debano has an MBA and a MS in Statistics from the New York University Stern School of Business and BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Detroit
