Steven is Head of Corporate Private Credit, UK & Europe, at Legal & General Asset Management. He leads the origination and management of private credit investments across a broad range of borrowers, sectors, geographies and credit profiles, with responsibility for a £5bn portfolio spanning investment‑grade and sub‑investment‑grade assets. Steven is a member of the Private Credit Leadership Team and a voting member of L&G’s Private Credit Investment Committee.

Steven joined L&G in 2018 from Barclays, where he spent over a decade across the Investment Bank and Corporate Bank, including roles in Private Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Strategic Debt Finance and Loan Syndications. Over his career, he has been involved in raising more than £25bn of capital through private placements and loan financings across multiple structures, sectors, currencies and jurisdictions.

Steven holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of York and has Corporate Treasurer (ACT) qualifications. Outside of work, he is a father of three and serves as a co‑opted board member of a local Housing Association in England.
