Marcos Costa Santos Carreira is the Head of Equity Quants at XP Inc and the co-author of “Brazilian Derivatives and Securities”. He graduated in Electronic Engineering at ITA in 1993 and completed a Masters in Economics at Insper in 2016; he was a PhD Candidate at Ecole Polytechnique from 2017 to 2021. He was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse Brazil where he headed Market, Counterparty and Liquidity Risk and later FX and IR Options Trading, and later he was a Derivatives and Technical Modelling Officer at BM&FBovespa (now B3) and Chief Risk Officer at Upon Global Capital..
