Mert Esencan is the founder and CEO of Icosa Computing, a company developing physics-inspired AI systems that enable enterprises to build private, customizable, and locally deployable assistants. Icosa and the Universities Space Research Association (USRA) were recently awarded a STTR Fast-Track grant by the U.S. National Science Foundation for advancing adaptive and efficient AI architectures. Mert completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Stanford University, focusing on physics, computer science, and finance, before joining the University of Oxford for doctoral research in quantum information processing.
