Mike Emambakhsh is a Vice President and Senior Research Scientist at Mesirow Currency Management. In his role, Mike focuses on research and model development, particularly in the application of machine learning within the Alpha and Macro strategies team.

With approximately 14 years of experience, Mike has a diverse background in research and algorithm development across various types of sequential data. His expertise spans spatiotemporal computer vision, robotics applications, time series analysis, and signal processing. He has shared his knowledge through numerous presentations and publications, including contributions to esteemed journals and conferences such as IEEE PAMI and TSP.

Mike holds a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and has around four years of post-doctoral research experience specialising in natural language processing (NLP) and sensor fusion for autonomous vehicles.
