Elizabeth Estes
Executive Director at Open Source Imaging Consortium
Speaker

Profile

With her hands on knowledge and passion for what she does, Elizabeth is a highly sought-after healthcare strategist, speaker, teacher and mentor. Part futurist and part idea machine, Elizabeth’s passion for healthcare and entrepreneurship has culminated in her latest role as Executive Director for the Open Source Imaging Consortium (OSIC), a global not-for-profit consortium focused on bringing together academia, industry and patient advocacy groups to make radical progress on behalf of those in their fight against interstitial lung diseases.

OSIC was architected from an unusual model in a historically closed research environment. While allowing their partners to keep their own IP, OSIC will give away the learnings, successes and failures from their internal team, open source to the world, in order to help make radical progress on behalf of patients around the globe.

Elizabeth and OSIC have recently been featured in WIRED magazine, Radiology Today, Forbes, European Respiratory Journal, US Women in Healthcare and several other articles regarding consortium building, machine learning and rare disease. She will be an upcoming featured panelist at the Amazon Re-Invent in November, 2023 and the Rare Disease Summit in 2024. When not on a plane, Elizabeth lives on the shores of Lake Michigan, in Southwest Michigan – USA.
