Angela is a Partner in the Risk & Resilience practice. Angela has 20+ years leading data-enabled transformations, including global finance and risk transformations for banks and insurance companies. Angela previously led a global Risk transformation programme for a large global bank.

Relevant selected experience

• Defined strategy to implement net zero targets for a large global bank, integrating changes across risk appetite, capital allocation and portfolio management to meet net zero targets.
• Shaped and led global risk transformation for a global bank, with assets of nearly $3 trillion, to enhance risk management capability and deliver annual cost savings of $154m through digital adoption, automation and operating model change. This involved designing and implementing the new risk organization, skills strategy, location strategy, reporting & analytics strategy and data strategy across a risk function of over 6000 people in 65 countries.
• Led the non-financial risk analytics programme at one of the world’s largest banks, defined their non-financial risk analytics strategy, and designed and implemented the group non-financial risk analytics application to c.1000 users globally.
• Worked with UK-based financial services regulator to define their data management strategy including data management framework, gap assessment and implementation roadmap
• Led the data and management information strategy and delivery for a large global insurer to move all its financial processes to the cloud globally, the first financial services provider to do so and seen as a landmark in the industry.
• Defined and led the enterprise information strategy and delivery for a European bank, integrating finance, risk and treasury data in order to meet regulatory, statutory and management information needs. Shaped and led Basel III LCR/NSFR implementation.

Angela holds a BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge. Prior to joining McKinsey & Company, Angela worked at HSBC as a global transformation programme director and at Accenture as a managing director.
