François Gilles is an Advisor within the European Investment Bank’s Advisory Services, focusing on Innovation Finance issues and based in Luxembourg. In this role, François provides support to investment project promoters to enhance their bankability and facilitate their access to financing, in key innovative sectors including Hydrogen, Renewable Energy and the Digital Economy. François is also involved in a number of market studies on access-to-finance conditions across multiple sectors. In particular, François is advising a number of projects in the hydrogen sector, and he is driving the team’s advisory engagement with key hydrogen investors and ecosystem players. Prior to this role, François worked for over 12 years in strategy consulting and corporate finance advisory roles at McKinsey, Deloitte and Citigroup’s investment bank, across different locations in Europe, the U.S. and South America.
