- Ever since the financial crisis in 2008, Mirea has been at the forefront of applying behavioural science in the financial industry.
- She was one of the main architects of the Dutch Central Bank’s (DNB) pioneering approach of behaviour & culture supervision •She was the editor and lead author of the highly influential book - Supervision of Behaviour & Culture •She worked with regulators in Europe, Asia, North America and APAC
- After DNB, Mirea has worked as Global Head Behavioural Risk Management at ING for 5 years where:
- She was responsible for the identification and assessment of behavioural risks and steer the business towards effective mitigation of these risks. •With her team she applied several innovative behavioural interventions to change behaviours •She reported to the CRO and behavioural risk is now an integrated part of ING’s risk function and strategic decision making.
- Currently Mirea works as an independent global advisor for organizations in various industries
