Jacob Borrajo, PhD is CEO and Co-Founder of Amber Bio, an RNA editing company based in South San Francisco, California. Before starting Amber Bio, Dr. Borrajo started multiple companies in the gene editing and RNA space. Dr. Borrajo received his PhD in Biological Engineering from MIT, where he conducted work on RNA measurement and RNA editing at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He has received numerous awards and fellowships including winning Phase I of the NIH Follow That Cell Challenge, the NSF GRFP, and the HHMI Gilliam Fellowship. Today, he is most excited about large scale recombination of RNA as a therapeutic modality.
