Natalia Ulyanova, PhD, MBA, is the Head of US Business and Development and Licensing at Samyang Biopharm USA since June 2026, based in Cambridge MA. Natalia is an experienced strategic business development professional with 10+ years of successful track record in academic cancer research, 6+ years in pharma BD&L and 5+ in biotech strategy consulting and operations. Prior to Samyang Natalia served as an external BD & Corporate Development executive for biotech companies and was a founder of life science strategy advisory firm Nauka Consulting. In 2019-2024, she served Director-level roles within the global BD team at Astellas Pharma, where she led oncology Search and Evaluation and strategic in-licensing with over >$9B in executed deal value. Earlier in her career Natalia had strategic external BD and advisory roles at Extera Partners, Metamark Genetics and Novaseek Research. Natalia received PhD in Biochemistry from Tufts University in 2006, postdoctoral training at BWH, Harvard Medical School and served as an adjunct Biology & Chemistry Instructor, Simmons University & Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Natalia completed her executive MBA training from Quantic School of Business and Technology in March 2026 and received VC University Certificate in July 2026.
